The Asma Palace is built on a long thin plot, which sits within the green belt. Energy-saving high standards have been applied to the shell to guarantee maximum comfort in all weathers. The articulation of the form has been rigorously pared down to two contrasting interacting elements consisting of crisp gray, predominantly horizontal, folding planes inlaid with richly textured randomized vertical timber battens. This is reinforced through the reflections from the entrance water feature. A gentle sound of trickling water permeates throughout the house reinforcing the serene river setting.
